Then it’s time to dive into the 3D planner.  This is where the magic really happens. Once you enter your room dimensions and get started with your design, you will be amazed at how quickly and easily you can create a kitchen or laundry you love. Completing your 3D plan provides you with a full item list of everything you need, along with the construction drawings to install it. At this stage, you can get it checked by a Bunnings kitchen expert instore and are ready to make your purchase from Bunnings.

You now need to decide whether to install it yourself, recruit some handy friends, or get a quote from a professional installer. Just remember, in all cases, services need to be fitted by a licenced electrician and plumber.

Remember, If DIY design and/or installation isn’t your thing, you can book a consult with a Bunnings kitchen expert at any time throughout the entire process and they’ll do it all for you – from uncovering your personal style, to creating full 3D plans, item list and drawings – all for a small fee of $49 In-Store or $99 in-home that’s redeemable if you go ahead with your purchase.

does kaboodle have a wide range?

are kaboodle kitchens made in Australia?

As an Australian-owned business, kaboodle offers a massive range of both imported products that are available off the shelf at Bunnings, along with custom-width cabinets, doors and panel colours and benchtops that are customised locally at our manufacturing facilities in Melbourne, Victoria and Onehunga, Auckland.

what is the quality of kaboodle like?

AFRDI is an independent not-for-profit technical organisation providing standards, testing, product certification and research for buyers and sellers of furniture. 

AFRDI testing includes rigorous tests and assessments on construction, durability, safety, strength and choice of components used in domestic kitchens and are based on the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4386.1. 

Our kaboodle warranty reflects our commitment to provide high-quality products that are built to last. Our range is are made from durable materials and are designed to withstand the wear and tear of daily use.

It means that all cabinet frames come with a 10-year structural warranty, but this is extended to a lifetime warranty for the entire time you own and live in your home. That’s the kaboodle lifetime advantage.

Along with cabinet frames, we offer a 10-year warranty for hinges and drawer runners, handles, doors and panels or laminate benchtops that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or manufacturing process within 10 years from the date of purchase.

We also offer a 5-year warranty for wire baskets and inserts, steel frame shelves, hanging kitchen storage, waste bins or timber benchtops that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or manufacturing process within 5 years from the date of purchase.

how much does a kaboodle kitchen cost?

Pricing depends on the size and style of your project, but as a guide, a basic straight-line kitchen starts at as little as $2,000 (before appliances, splashback, trades etc).

Many customers choose kaboodle for their forever homes and spend more for premium hardware, doors and benchtops in their favourite style.

how much does an overall kitchen renovation cost including appliances and tradespeople?

The cost of an overall kitchen renovation can vary on many factors and depends on the style, size and layout of your new space. According to the HIA’s Annual Kitchen and Bathroom report, the average value of a complete kitchen renovation was $35,280. This factors in all aspects of a kitchen renovation, including installation, appliances, flooring, paint etc. Alongside our affordable kitchen products, bunnings offers a range of great value sinks, taps and appliances to keep your costs down.

what’s the most affordable way to design a kitchen with kaboodle?

The key to getting a designer look for less with kaboodle is by starting with modular cabinets that are available off the shelf and/or quick delivery from Bunnings in a variety of fixed sizes. Then, if your space requires, mix these with a couple of made-to-order cabinets for a perfect fit. These are customised locally at the kaboodle manufacturing facility in Melbourne, Victoria.

do I need to use custom cabinets?

Depending on the size of your space, you can often design your kitchen simply using, modular products in set sizes. But you may decide to add one or two custom-width cabinets for a perfect fit to your space.

can I get a price on your products?

Prices for all individual products are all available on the Bunnings Warehouse website, or you can visit your local store and view kitchen displays or individual products on the shelf.

With huge instore kaboodle displays and a massive range of stock available off the shelf and via quick delivery at Bunnings nationwide, kaboodle is sometimes affectionally misreferred to as the ‘bunnings kitchen’.

who owns kaboodle kitchen?

The kaboodle kitchen brand is Australian-owned by AHE (Australian Homeware Enterprises) who supplies kaboodle kitchen products exclusively to Bunnings in Australia and New Zealand.

how do I order a kaboodle kitchen?

All kaboodle kitchen products are ordered from Bunnings, with most orders are placed In-Store through the special orders desk. Your order is usually based on an item list generated in our 3D planner that’s been completed by you and/or a Bunnings in-store kitchen expert or in-home consultant. The special orders desk will take payment and discuss relevant lead time, pick-up and delivery options.

are kaboodle kitchens available Australia-wide?

Yes, kaboodle kitchens are sold directly through the Bunnings store network nationally. Find a store located near you.

do you have a showroom? Where can I see kaboodle kitchen displays and get assistance?

kaboodle displays are available at nearly every Bunnings store, where you can stand inside a number of kitchens in various sizes and styles.  You can use our design tools at dedicated kiosks and select colours, profiles and more from physical samples.  Find your local store and filter by instore display for the best experience. Bunnings kitchen experts are available to help you plan and design your space, and answer any questions about your renovation.

can I buy kaboodle online from Bunnings?

With over 350 handy locations nationwide, we highly recommend ordering your kitchen In-Store at Bunnings through the special orders desk based on 3D plans and an item list that’s been checked by a Bunnings kitchen expert.

However, you can purchase individual stocked items through the Bunnings website with options for delivery or click and collect.

what are your lead times for modular products?

Lead times vary depending on your product choice so be sure to always check the availability link when you’re looking at product options on the kaboodle website. Modular cabinets, selected door and panel colours, benchtops, accessories and hardware are available either to take home today off the shelf at Bunnings, or delivered to store within seven days.

what are your standard lead times for made to order and customised products?

Lead times vary depending on your product choice so be sure to always check the availability link when you’re looking at product options on the kaboodle website. Made to order door and panel colours and all customised products come with extended lead times - please check with your Bunnings Team Member at the time of ordering for estimated delivery dates. 

do you sell appliances?

Kaboodle offers a wide range of cabinetry, benchtops, handles, hardware and storage solutions and accessories. We don’t offer appliances as part of our range.

can I design my kitchen myself?

Yes, you can design your kitchen with our convenient 3D kaboodle planner, which allows you to explore different layout options, styles, colours and more all from the comfort of your own home. The 3D planner features our full range of door and panel colours, profiles, benchtops and accessories, giving you the chance to visualise and select your favourite combinations to create the exact style that you’re looking for. what is the time between purchase and installation?

Lead times are dependent on the product ordered – generally, modular product is available same-day, or delivered to store within seven days. All made to order and customised product orders come with a lead time of 4 - 6 weeks. Lead times are indicative only, we recommend discussing live estimated delivery dates and order tracking with a Bunnings team member when ordering.

how long do kaboodle kitchens take to install?

It takes around two weeks to install a kaboodle kitchen but this can vary depending on your specific space, size of kitchen, renovation requirements and level of expertise.

can you install your own kaboodle kitchen?

You sure can! Our kitchens are designed to be DIY friendly, and we’ve got plenty of instructions and handy instructions to guide you through the process. Remember, you always need to engage qualified trades when it comes to gas, plumbing and electrical work.

does kaboodle offer kitchen installation?

While kaboodle doesn’t offer a direct installation service our products are carefully designed for both DIY and professional trade installation so you can install all, some or none of your new kitchen - it’s totally up to you!

who can I speak to about installation questions?

If you visit your local Bunnings special orders desk the kitchen experts will be able to recommend accredited installers via referral or utilise contractors from HiPages to assist with your projects, if this is your preferred option.

how do I pay for installation?

You can hire an accredited installer through your local Bunnings store and choose the right person for you. All payments are made directly between you and the installer.

where are my saved plans?

To access your saved plans, log in to the 3D planner and it should redirect you to your projects. You can also log in, navigate to the side menu and click on "my designs" to see your saved projects.

where can I find support using the 3D planner?

You can send an email to our support team here, or you can email support@kaboodleplanner.com.

how can I share my 3D plans with someone else?

Once you have created an account and saved your project, navigate to the left corner menu items (the three small lines) and select 'people'. From here you can send your plans to your friends and family via email.

can I build a laundry in the 3D planner?

Yes you can. You can either build it from scratch using the 3D project tool, or you can use the laundry preset from our quick quote tool as a starting point. If you use the laundry preset, you can skip all the quick quote steps by clicking 'build in 3d'. For more information on how to build your laundry project read our blog here

why do I need end panels when I am placing a cabinet next to a wall?

Walls may not be completely flush or square, so you can use an end/filler panel to compensate for uneven walls. It’s always advised to add an end/filler panel when placing a cabinet next to a wall.

why does the blind corner give me a filler panel and what size is it?

It’s advisable to install a filler panel between the adjoining cabinet and a blind corner panel to avoid potential handle clashes. Filler panels are offered in two sizes on the planner: 16mm or 18mm.

what is the rangehood cabinet distance from cooktop?

The minimum clearance to the underside of the rangehood is 650mm from the top of the trivet for gas cooktops and 600mm for electric cooktops, or the appliance specification, whichever is greater.

For undermount rangehoods, we recommend using a medium wall cabinet or a deep wall cabinet in 600mm or 900mm.

Be sure to check your appliance specifications of both your rangehood and cooktop before completing your design.

do I need end panels on each side of an underbench oven cabinet?

When you select an under bench oven cabinet or a pull out rangehood, we recommended adding end panels on each side to keep a design symmetrical and assist with holding the heat deflectors in place. If you are using an undermount rangehood then you may not want to include end panels or wall panels.

what is a multi-purpose panel (MPP) fly in shelf?

MPP fly in shelf can be used above or below wall cabinets. If used as shelving, brackets would need to be considered.

the total benchtops listed in the items list is incorrect

Benchtop measurements are indicative only and not an accurate measurement. To get an accurate benchtop you will need to quote manually and process through Kaboodle Cut to get items codes for processing through COS.

how do I place a benchtop to provide an overhang?

Use a benchtop extension and collide function. This option is located under the cabinets menu in the category “Resizable Benchtops”.

how do I change the direction of my corner cabinet benchtop overhang?

You can change the direction through the customise option on the cabinet and select the direction of the benchtop.

when I render my kitchen some panels are missing. 

Sometimes due to internet (bandwidth) issues a design might not fully render. If this happens, save the design, check the items list and if the panel is not listed simply just add another panel.

how do I change the width of customisable items in the planner?

You can change the direction through the customise option on the cabinet and select the direction of the benchtop.

I am trying to use the hamburger menu to change a door colour but it won't change. 

Use overall style icon on left or go to 2D to customize.

is there a faster way to duplicate rather than navigating to the hamburger menu each time?

Yes, highlight the cabinet you want and press CRTL + D.

besides clicking on each individual cabinet to change colour, how do I create a two-tone kitchen?

This can only be done in 3D view by using the CRTL button and selecting all the required cabinets to be changed. Use the hamburger menu to change colours (don’t use the overall styles tab).

I don't have a mouse and I can't see all the options?

To zoom in and out hold the CRTL button down & press the +/ –.

I am trying to put a cabinet in a specific location, but the program keeps changing its direction, how can I place it in the location and orientation that I want?

Hold the cabinet in the position and location that you want for 3 seconds, as soon as the cabinet outline is highlighted in green you can position the cabinet in that particular orientation and position. Please check the position cabinets and auto placement video.

are kitchen cabinets moisture resistant? 

Our cabinets are made with moisture resistant board (not waterproof).

what is the maximum, minimum and recommended height of the adjustable legs? 

Adjustable legs can be set at a maximum 160mm and down to 109mm. We recommend adjusting them to 145mm to suit our kickboards.

what is the maximum length and height of kickboards?

Kickboards come in a standard 2400mm length and 145mm height and 18mm thick. 

can I purchase additional shelves? 

All our cabinets are designed as a kit which means we don't sell shelves individually.

are the end panels wrapped or coloured on both sides? 

Yes, end panels are wrapped on both sides. 

can I alter the height or depth of a cabinet?

Our customisable range is only available on the width of cabinets. Read our blog on how to get the perfect fit with kaboodle. We have launched a new extended range of cabinets, offering taller pantry cabinets (2345mm finished height) and deeper wall cabinets (400mm deep).

can I alter the height or depth of a door?

Our cut to measure range is only available on the width of doors in a modern profile. Read our blog on how to get the perfect fit with kaboodle. We have a range of doors made to fit our new extended range of cabinets, offering taller pantry cabinets (2345mm finished height) and deeper wall cabinets (400mm deep).

what door profiles can I customise the width?

Custom door width is only available in modern profile via our cut to measure program.

can I alter the length or width of a benchtop?

We have a great range of customisable benchtops available in multiple thicknesses, styles and finishes.

20mm thick benchtops are available in widths of up to 1200mm (above a standard 900mm width) and available in longer lengths up to 3600mm. 38mm thick benchtops are available in widths of up

to 1050mm (above a standard 900mm width) and available in longer lengths up to 2600mm. Customisable benchtops are also available in reduced widths (below standard 600mm).

how can I check the price of a customisable benchtop?

Benchtop measurements are indicative only and not an accurate measurement or price. To price on a customised benchtop, bring your kitchen plans into a store and a kitchen expert can provide a quote.
