connect at home with the warming shade of tagine

Introducing connect – encourage conversation and connection in your home with the warming shade of tagine.

As we welcome family, friends and neighbours back into our homes we want to create an environment that encourages conversation and connection. There’s nothing more uplifting than quality time spent with loved ones and when we connect in the home, we often gather in the kitchen to enjoy a meal or beverage. The connect trend encourages us to consider our surroundings and how we can use our interiors as a form of self-expression.

Connect is brought to life with the hero shade of tagine. Inspired by the visually rich and vibrant streets of Morocco, designing with the earthy tones of tagine will foster the memorable and engaging environments that travel brings.

Transporting us to the visually rich and vibrant streets of Africa’s desert cities, this colourway will pair effortlessly with textured timber tones, stone-look benchtops and matt black hardware. In the connect kitchen, we have paired tagine with hazelnut v doors and panels for the pantry cabinets, 20mm crackle crush gloss benchtops, hazelnut floating shelves with handle less push to open mechanisms for the drawer and door cabinets.

To bring the connect trend to life, we collaborated with Interior Designer and travel blogger Jono Fleming. He provided his expert opinion on colour pairings, kitchen layout and styling.

“The connect colourway suits kitchen spaces large and small. If you want to incorporate this hue but are feeling a little nervous, I would suggest using it as an accent colour – maybe for a wall of pantry cabinets or for your base cabinets. Start there and you can keep evolving this trend throughout the rest of your home,” – says Jono.

Integrating open shelving is the perfect design hack to complement what the connect trend is all about. They’re perfect for displaying treasures from travels abroad. It’s all about creating a visual language that is distinctively yours, where momentous travel and collection can add personality and constantly evolve, creating a talking point in your home.
