The coastal kitchen style evokes a sense of calm and transports you to your favourite beachside destination. When choosing a colour palette muted, neutral tones are key if you want to achieve this look. Think, whites, washed whites, light greys and even muted beige tones. If you are feeling adventurous, you can opt to inject some colour, such as ocean blue using our paint your own doors, which allows you to curate the colour palette of your dreams by simply painting our raw board paint your own doors. When selecting your benchtop, we would recommend choosing a surface that emulates natural elements as this will help to bring the outside-in – a key component of the coastal style.

Design tip: add a layer of texture to the space with natural-fiber textiles such as rattan pendants, linen napkins and wooden chopping boards.

modern minimalist

Creating a minimalistic kitchen design is a timeless choice and if you include a few key components in your design, can be quite simple to achieve. Neutral tones are key when it comes to a minimalist kitchen design! Working with a monochrome palette such as molasses v and molasses benchtops as well as feta whip will help to create a sharp, sophisticated look. If you want the space to be modern, but also have some warmth, licorice twist is a good alternative to solid black, as it has woodgrain qualities. When it comes to achieving a minimalist look, we would suggest going with our modern profile door and discreet grip handles or push to open hinges for a handless look. Our modern doors are flat, with no detailed profile. This helps to achieve the sleek look that’s typically associated with a contemporary style.

A farmhouse style kitchen is designed to incorporate character into a kitchen, the key to nailing this style is to keep it functional, charming and most of all inviting. When it comes to choosing a colour palette the farmhouse style is all about bringing the outside in! Avoid using bright colours and instead opt for more of a natural, grounding colour palette. Think soft browns, muted greens, whites, greys and timber tones. Where possible it is a great idea to incorporate timber detailing to showcase the natural style of a farmhouse kitchen. We recommend adding in a kitchen island with a timber or timber-look benchtop that is both functional and inviting.

Design tip: Our natural timber or timber-look laminate benchtops create wonderful floating shelving!

The Hamptons style is an extremely sought after and desired interior aesthetic, the elevated coastal style embraces the elegance and luxury of natural textures for a high-end finish! The Hamptons kitchen style focuses on calming laid-back design choices that provide an almost effortless look and feel. The predominant colour scheme in a Hamptons kitchen is white on white, however, it does pair beautifully with timber tones and rich navy hues such as berry blue for an elegant pop of colour. For an added element of luxe, we recommend stone-look benchtops such as biancoccino and vanilla cream. Styling elements will help solidify this style; consider brass kitchen fittings and matching sconces for ambient lighting.

The Scandi kitchen style is about creating functional and effortless design, with a focus on minimalism and a neutral colour palette. When deciding on a Scandi colour palette, think cool-timber accents, grey tones and lots of white. If you want to add some colour, you can incorporate touches of soft duck egg blue, blush pink or muted green through styling elements. Incorporating timber accents into your design is a key component of the Scandi-style, this can be achieved through feature cabinetry or benchtops. hazelnut v or ghost ash are great options in the kaboodle doors and panels range.

Design Tip: Keep it simple and opt for a modern or alpine profiles that will help to achieve the streamlined style Scandinavian design is known for.
